AkzoNobel and Selsia shake hands on their vision
Return to news24th August 2012
AkzoNobel’s philosophy of creating together continues to move forward at a quickening pace with the latest announcement that the company has just signed a deal with Selsia Vehicle Accident Centres.
The deal as an approved supplier of refinishing systems, including the Sikkens and Lesonal brands, is acknowledgement of AkzoNobel’s experience and expertise in supporting bodyshop networks world-wide.
Selsia Vehicle Accident Centres is a national group of bodyshops with a single point of contact infrastructure capable of dealing directly with all types of vehicle operators, including fleet and leasing companies, to offer a comprehensive one-stop shop repair solution. Its service covers the whole range of vehicles from cars, LCVs, HGVs and PSVs, and offers a same day online quotation service for minor repairs. Selsia has appointed AkzoNobel to support this work due to the high quality of its products, aftersales support and its commitment to the express repair programme, which fits with Selsia’s own approach to service delivery.
AkzoNobel and Selsia share a similar vision of simplifying the supply chain for work providers, keeping costs and key to key times to a minimum whilst delivering the best service and results. Internationally AkzoNobel is linked to many other franchised bodyshop networks which is further evidence of its belief that the bodyshop marketplace will continue to consolidate into networks.
Neil Marcus, marketing director, Selsia Vehicle Accident Centres, commented: ‘Selecting a strategic partner with a similar business vision has a significant impact on how a successful national repairer network like Selsia delivers high levels of service for work provider customers. We are delighted to be working with the AkzoNobel team and we are looking forward to the technical and business benefits this relationship will bring over the coming years.’
David McGuinness, key account manager, AkzoNobel, added, ‘AkzoNobel is really pleased to be appointed by Selsia to supply refinishing products and support services. We share a common vision of delivering the most efficient and effective bodyshop service to meet the needs of the work providers, and I have already been particularly impressed by Selsia’s Same Day franchise offering for the retail market. AkzoNobel will be providing value added services such as sharing its wealth of expertise in bodyshop networks and fleet as well as the market leading Sikkens and Lesonal brands.’
