Two wins in a row for Selsia!
Return to news22nd April 2016
Selsia Vehicle Accident Centres has won the Fleet World Innovation Honours Award 2016 for Accident Management. This is the second year in a row that Selsia has won this prestigious award and testimony to the hard work Selsia and its approved repairer network put in to keeping the nation’s fleets on the road.
The presentation of the awards took place at a special awards luncheon at the Royal Automobile Club in London’s Pall Mall. In conjunction with Penning’s Group, Selsia’s fast track bodywork repair services with its stand-alone Repair Pods innovation was singled out by the judges as worthy of the prestigious “Innovation in Accident Management Award”.
In response to growing demands by Selsia’s time-critical fleet customers for minimal vehicle movement for small area damage repairs and reducing loss of use, Selsia and Penning’s Group have joined forces to offer fleets the opportunity of having their very own, on-site repair and painting facility for cars and vans, complete with experienced and accredited technicians. Repair Pod is a moveable repair and refinishing module which means damaged cars and vans no longer have to leave site for repairs. Large daily rental, leasing and other high volume time-critical fleet operators will benefit from a Repair Pod at their depots, particularly as there are no investment costs. All fleets pay for are the repairs which are carried out by Repair Pods’ experienced technicians, where two are assigned per Repair Pod. For rental fleets with airport locations, all the legislative and security as well as airport regulatory requirements have already been met. Fleets’ larger damage repairs are put through the approved Selsia repairer network as normal.
Considering a vehicle off the road could cost a fleet up to £500 a day, Repair Pod will bring large cost savings by allowing fleet operators to benefit from fast turnaround times by having a repair facility on site with trained technicians. In addition to reduced vehicle downtimes, repair costs are kept low as the technicians use small area repair techniques and fast drying, quality paint and materials. In most situations, Repair Pods are provided free of charge with the only cost to the fleet operator being the actual cost of the repair.
Selsia’s marketing director, Neil Marcus commented, “to win this prestigious award in 2015 was a major milestone for Selsia. To win the award again in 2016, in conjunction with our partner, Penning’s Group, can only be described as a fantastic achievement for everyone involved. I would like to thank the Fleet World judges for this award.”
Fleet World editor, Steve Moody commented, “Selsia’s innovative Repair Pods take the bodyshop to the fleet. A moveable repair, spray and bake module, it can be set up almost anywhere and allows a fleet to get a high volume of repairs done quickly and without the need to move the vehicles off-site, saving huge amounts of time and money in the process.”
