HGV repairs grow as registrations decline

With HGV registrations declining in 2017* and fleet operators keeping vehicles longer, Selsia is now experiencing unprecedented growth in its referrals of heavy commercial and specialist bodied vehicle accident repairs into its network.

With over 40 heavy commercial vehicle repairers within the network of over 190 approved accident repair centres, this centrally managed specialist group continues to deliver outstanding levels of service to Selsia’s ever growing portfolio of commercial vehicle fleet operators. There is no limit to the range of services Selsia’s dedicated CV network can offer. These include specialist chassis straightening, laser steering and axle alignment, cab and trailer repairs, bodywork repairs and modifications, hydraulic, compaction and tail lift repairs, shot blasting, specialist welding, mobile repairs, managed fleet refurbishments and warrantied refinishing backed by AkzoNobel.

These services are pulled together by Selsia centrally managing repairs into the CV network on behalf of fleet operators by providing 24/7 FNOL, nationwide recoveries and repair deployments, estimate governance, online repair management, repair progress chasing, management information and central invoicing. Getting vehicles back on the road in the shortest possible time is the key driver for Selsia as loss of use of specialist vehicles can be very expensive. In addition, Selsia works with fleet operators to manage the cost of accident repairs by delivering standard repair rates right across the country.
