Selsia has won the prestigious Innovation in Remarketing Award for its SMART Multipoint service. The Supplier Award was presented to Selsia at the Fleet World Great British Fleet Awards following the inaugural Great British Fleet Event in London. This is the third Fleet World honour Selsia has won and comes only two months after the Company won the ABP Repairers’ Choice Award.

SMART Multipoint is a centrally managed bodywork rectification remarketing service for fleets, auction houses and fleet management companies. The service utilises Selsia’s connected network of 200 approved bodyshops throughout the UK which can be used as drop off points for mid-contract returns, end of life and fleet re-homing. After vehicle delivery, the bodyshop carries out a full bodywork assessment on damage beyond BVRLA fair wear and tear guidelines, as well as a full multipoint check of vehicle status. If there is bodywork damage, the Selsia repairer will refer to an agreed fixed price SMART repair menu and upload the assessment with images to Selsia Central. Where more severe damage repair is required, the vehicle is already in the right place where a full assessment can be carried out.

Having bodyshops close to delivery agents reduces vehicle movements and provides a secure storage facility and once repaired, end of life vehicles will arrive at auction or other remarketing locations in a condition ready for sale which helps to keep storage and other costs to a minimum. For fleets, higher resale prices are being achieved at auction by having vehicles in a condition ready for sale or re-homing. Selsia’s centrally managed service reduces touch points for clients, resulting in a far more streamlined and faster response process as well as reduced bodywork damage rectification costs and a reduced exposure to high end of lease penalty charges.

Commenting on the award, Neil Marcus, Selsia’s marketing director said: “Selsia is going through a tremendous growth spurt as a result of listening to what our fleet clients require and delivering first class services which will reduce their costs and increase their efficiencies. To win two prestigious industry awards within only two months of each other is testimony to the quality of our team, our systems and outstanding repairers”.
